A stray kitty who has adopted my parents had kittens a couple of months ago. On a trip to visit my parents, Payton became especially attached to this adorable little guy. He's super special...
Mr. Charming went to help my dad with some remodeling and had promised Payton that he would bring her home a surprise. We had already told the kids that the kittens were getting new homes and wouldn't be at Grandma and Grandpa's the next time we went there.
She waited in anticipation for daddy to come home.
True to his word, he brought her a surprise...GUM! She was super-excited!...
And then daddy pulled out a funny looking box...
And slowly opened it...
...to reveal Payton's very special kitten!
And baby kitty felt right at home
He loves long car rides (especially when perched on the back of a seat), lots of petting and MEAT!
This cat is such a blessing! We got him on a Wednesday and Payton got sick on a Friday. This little guy didn't leave her side while she was laying on the couch feeling miserable. Best. cat. ever.
We named him Spaz Fuhrmann, which we thought was clever...but no one seems to know who Baz Luhrmann is...weird.
And what makes Spaz so special (besides his winning personality)?
He was born with the umbilical cord wrapped around his back paws, leaving him with no paw on one side and a partial pad with 1 toe on the other (essentially he has no back paws)! His mother tried to smother him when he was a week old, but my dad heard his cries and rescued him (but, shhhhh...he hates animals).
This little guy had quite the rough start, but he's here to stay, and we couldn't be happier!
